2 XP's on 1 PC and the 260 meg SP2 fails ???

I have 2 XP's on one mobo on 2 seperate HD's and when I try to load the full SP2 it tries to copy files from my e: drive and stop with a warning. E: drive is the second OP system. I tried various ways around it by hitting cancel, retry and the X. It will always fail and reset to the original config. I did use this same full ver.SP2 on a second PC with 1 XP on it and it worked very well. I want to try unplugging drive E: but i'm looking for advise first.
Thank you, Gary

Yes it has caused a headache but I thought it was a good way to do digital editing having no excess running in the background. You gotta learn from your own mistakes - hahaha. I'll try to post back if I don't crash it.
Thanks, Gary.

Are you trying to install off of a CD? or off of one of your hard drives?

I have XP Home installed twice on my machine, with my harddrive partitioned into a 60gig partition and a 20gig partition. SP2 is installed and works fine on the 60gig partition. But I installed it off the SP2 CD.

I did try various ways to install including the CD. But I gave up and just re-BANGEDer.
Only one XP at this time and SP2 works good. I may try to ad a second HD and XP again. I sure do appriciate your input.
Thanks, Gary
