Windows installer
Hi Everyone,
Need help. Each time I switched on my pc I come across this message "Windows installer" I do not know what it is installing. But I noticed this when Yahoo page changed, a few days ago. Since then, I kept on seeing this message "Windows installer" appearing. I did not download any softwares prior to the changes. What is this? Is there a virus on my pc? I scanned my pc with Norton everyday before I log onto the internet. Please help... Thanks. |

have you installed any office/works products recently. i have seen this happen when people install office/works, and it is in their startup. but for some reason, not everything gets installed properly and the item that needs to be started has not been installed. just throwing that one out there. have you let it run through to see what it does? chances are, it will ask for a disk, and the title of that disk will be a clue to whatever is trying to be installed. the other options is to go and look at what items are being started with the computer and see if that gives you any clues
hope that helps craig
