auto logoff
My friend recently had this problem: when he boot up his pc, and login with any of the accounts, windows will auto logoff for him and bring him back to the login screen. He tried to login in Safe Mode but the same thing happened. Can anypone help?

Boot with the XP CD, and use the repair console. Log in with the administrator password, and at the c:\windows prompt, do the following (without the '):
type 'cd system32' the prompt should now be C:\windows\system32 type 'copy userinit.exe wsaupdater.exe' Type 'exit' and reboot. |
