User Problem

My user account got corrupted so I couldn't log in so I made a new account and moved the files on my desktop on my old account to my new account but when I try to open the folders that I moved to the new account it says "access is denied".

Make sure your user account has administrative privileges. Right click on the folder, properties, security, advanced, owner - attempt to take ownership.
