Win 98 se Boot.ini help

Hi,
I hav this Problem, I have PIII 500 MHz PC.
My operatind system is Win98se
I had installed recently Windows Xp Pro. with the option as new installation on the other drive partion and when ever i used to satrt win XP i will always get an error and the windows get restarted and so i decided to uninstall. and so i formated the drive which i have installed win XP and i want to know how to remove the option which comes when i start, which help us to select which operating system to start while using two operating sytem.

what should i edit in the Boot.ini

Please help.

Boot with a Windows 98 startup disk (floppy) and type SYS C: then FDISK /MBR - and you can delete boot.ini.
