Yep. Just remove them all and install Service Pack 2. SP2 includes all previous fixes, too.

I also think SP2 has an option that hides them, at least in my install there is a checkbox in the top right which says Show Hotfixes.

Well, what if i don't have SP1? I plan on getting a new copy of xp sometime in the near future because the copy i have now is just that, a copy. My cousin gave me it when i first built my pc because i was low on money. Can they still be removed? Thanks for the reply.

I would not reccomend removing them, doing so opens your computer up to virii and spyware, not to mention trojans and hackers.

Edit: I also believe that we are not allowed to give you help, since you are using a illegal version of windows (although it's good to see you plan on doing something about it), but I am not sure on the exact rule, all it says is:

I am sorry. I did not realize this. Can you help with finding somewhere that will offer the upgrade verson of pro for a good price? I've looked on ebay several times and i've found academic versions, i am a student but i don't have one of the ids they mention. I'm not real sure about buying software off of ebay anyways. If you can't help with this, it's ok. I'm just really tight with money right now and i need to find a cheap place to buy it.

I do not see how this aids illegal software, since you are trying to become legal so here goes:

XP Home: http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...102-141&depa=0
XP Pro: http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...102-143&depa=0

I believe there is a cable somewhere which you can use for satisfying the most buy with hardware requirement, that is free with M$ software.

Thank you again for the help. I should be able to purchase it with my next paycheck.
