IE6 / Shell / Common Dialog = Not displaying large file size executable icons

I have just rebuilt entire Windows XP Professional 2002 Edition SP-2. Everything is working perfect except one thing; I am seeing a strange problem with IE6 that I have never seen before on any system. All executables of any file size below ~512 MB are displayed correctly (extracted from executable’s icon resource). I created SFX from WinRAR with a file size of ~671 MB and the icon from the executable resource is not displayed. Yes, the icon exists in the SFX executable. [I have extracted and done a binary compare with smaller files sizes that work and they are identical.] Programs that have their own brower such as SmartFTP, WinRAR, VuePrint, UltraISO and others display correctly. Yet programs such as IE6, Explorer, Outlook, or anything that uses the common dialogs don’t display large file size executable icons.
