McAfee OnLine
I had to have Windows XP Professional reinstalled yesterday.. Upon booting after the reinstallation I got a message saying that the version of Virus Scan was not compatible (!!!) so I should remove the program and reinstall the compatible version. I removed the Mc Afee files and tried to reinstall the program on-line ( taking the risk of going on-line without anti-virus protection). The download FAILED to start and when I clicked on the start button I got a message saying "error on page" on the task bar. After two attempts, I installed a copy of Norton's antivirus 2003 which I had on a CD. I would prefer to have Mc Afee On line. Please me on how I can do so.

I know this doesn't sound helpful, but I'll take Norton 2003 over anything McAfee offers in a heartbeat.

Thanks for your advice.
I, being a novice, was being guided by a suggestion from an acquaintance and the ads from McAfee that the best on the market was Mc Afee. I will stick with the Norton's 2003 but find it delays my out-going mail.
