Question about Admin privlidges on non-admin account

Everynow and then I get a message that says that only the administrator can change a setting, and that you do not have enough access privlidges to change the setting.

Is there anyway to change that setting without logging into an admin account?

Furthermore, it would seem there are certain settings which are individual to a user, but a non-admin user can't change. How can you change these things?

If it says it needs admin, it needs admin. You can run *some* stuff "as" the administrator - right click, run as.

To change individual settings, you would need to log in as an admin and "promote" the user temporarily.
