cant install any thing
my friend have xp home and he cant install any program from a cdrom
the error is c:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt. The system file is not suitable for running ms dos and microsoft windows apps he is scanning for virus right not but could I give him the file from my pc? would it be a problem? he cant restore, he turned it off. |

You *should* be able to give him yours - this is what mine looks like (Win2000):

microsoft wanted him to copy over some files from his cd like autoexec and comand.com which he said did not work. i gave him mine and it did..
