Connecting to the Internet..
Just reformated, Im using Windows XP.. Im using ADSL (high-speed)..
What I found odd was that I had only one icon once my I attained my desktop, which was the trash bin, funny. Anywho, the PC im on right now, is the one with the ethernet broadband router, and the ADSL Modem Ethernet. The PC upstairs, well its linked to the router.. Can anyone guide me on how to setup my internet? Just so lost and don't know what to do first.. =( |

If both the upstairs PC and your PC are connected to the router, and the modem is connected to the router, and the upstairs PC can connect to the internet, you should be connected too. Just open IE and go surfing.

The first time you open IE, the internet connection wizard may appear - all you do is tell it you connect by LAN and uncheck the "automatically detect settings" box.
