How can I access old email in Outlook 2000
XP crashed on a hard drive and I made it a slave in a different computer. All data is still there.
I need to: first of all FIND the old outlook 2000 email and contacts files...where they are I do not know... and then second...import the old files into the outlook 2000 on my c drive. Outlook lets you import Outlook express files, but not Outlook files? Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Look at the part that says "Outlook file locations" after you find them, its just a matter of taking the files with the right extensions (explained in that link), and copying them to your current directory. Mike |

All the mail and contacts are in a single .PST file, usually called OUTLOOK.PST. Once you find it, just replace the new file with it. If you use a CD burner to move it over, make sure you remove the read-only attribute from the file before you try to open Outlook.
