Unable to do Restore since SP2
Tried to do a restore last night after discovering that my digi camera upload software was freezing, (hadn't used it since the sp2 install Sat. aft). I had installed DX9.0c and the new media player 10 progs earlier in the evening. When the restore failed, I kept going to the next restore point failing each. I tried it in safe mode hoping that would help but no. Unfortunately I did a thorough clean up after the sp2 install and deleted all earlier restore points.
I have no idea what to do, what good is the system without that fallback? any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. |

Have you tried uninstall/reinstall the digi camera software?

You might want to check the camera web site for any software upgrade. Software manufacturers are hustling to make their stuff compatible with SP2. If all else fails and you want to uninstall SP2, here's the MS guide.

Sorry I didn't mention that I did a repair then an uninstall/reinstall with the camera, the CD is the current version set-up CD. I'm getting the feeling that there are missing files, hpqca sounds like a file.
It still doesn't explain why I can't do a system restore though. |
