You need to change you BIOS settings to boot from the CD. It's trying to boot from the HD, but there is no OS installed on it.

Try another Cable. Make sure it is an ATA 100 cable(40 pin/80 wire) and make sure the drive is set for CABLE SELECT.

I put in a brand new cable, and the HDD is on Cable Select, i even tried Dual Master with no luck. Seems wierd my cable would go bad, i just took my old HDD out and put in a brand new one, the system worked fine yesterday. Keep the ideas coming! thanks again.

OMG I'M SUCH AN IDIOT!!! so when it says to "press any key to boot from cd" i just sat there and that's when the error came up.....well i'll be damned, if i actually press any key, guess what? yep, it boots from the CD and installs windows. So i hate to admit that i'm this stupid, but i figured it would save your time from trying to figure out my non exsitant computer problem.

Your not stupid. You just overlooked something. Now you know so it wont happen again. Happens all the time to people when they aren't experienced with something like this.
