Starting Task manager automatically...
Does anyone know how to get task manager to start up automatically upon startup and have it so that it is minimized with only the system tray icon showing? I have Windows XP Pro. Thanks.

To start Task Manager automatically, simply add a shortcut to taskmgr.exe to your Startup folder. I don't know any switches to make it start minimized, though.

Try doing what doctorgonzo said and right click on the shortcut, click properties and then under the run option (in the shortcut tab) try selecting minimized. Is this what you want?

Don't forget to check the "Hide when minimized" option in Task Manager.
