installing windowsxp professional
biossays harddrive S.M.A.R.T. disable should this be enable i go through the instalation and when it comes to the end it says to instal the disk and go through the whole process again can you tell me how fix this problem

1. I would definitely enable SMART.
2. Do you have your bios antivirus turned OFF? You have to do this or the install will not write the boot sector. 3. Please don't start new threads for the same issue - I have answered your previous post. |

yes i have enabled the anti-virus how do i enable the smart drive i loaded windowsxp professional again it loads fine but when i reboot the computor it asks to boot from cd
comes up disk failure please insert disc |

No, you must DISABLE the antivirus as I have indicated in both threads.

yes i have disabled the antivirus everything loaded fine goes through the whole setup but when we restart the computer it still asks for the cd
|

Download diagnostics from the hard drive manufacturer and run them.
