Angry Problem registering Active X controls

I have recently installed SP2 on my computer and I am now having trouble with registering two different but related Active X controls. How do you manually register .ocx files? For the record the files are cscmd.ocx and cstext.ocx

Any help would be appreciated.

If you have any questions you can also contact me at adjackson39@hotmail.com

Thanks,

Tony

The command to register ActiveX controls is regsvr32. Simply open a command prompt and type:

regsvr32 path\cscmd.ocx

Of course, fill in the correct path to the .ocx file.

Alright, so here is what I found out. First off Windows has had a problem recently with registering the two files above. In fact many different programs have had the same issue. Today I managed to locate a fix, it basically replaces the two files with Active X controls that have have the issue. Once you install the manually register the files, there seems to be no further problems.

I currently do not know where I located this fux, but as soon as I get the link I will provide that.

Thanks for the help everyone, and I hope this is a helpful thread.
