This may have been posted but a friend has installed xp sp2 and now finds that he can logon and operate normally while his son who logons on as a guest cannot access the internet. The son finds that internet explorer crashes almost immediately after he clicks on it. I don't have the error message details to hand but I suspect the son uses software that don't like this SP2. Rolling back to a time before sp2 installed seems to cure the problem. Any ideas?

Well if you rolled back to before SP2 and all is fine than it looks like SP2 is/was the problem. Not much you can do except just make sure that you don't install SP2 again.

This could also be spyware related. Try running Spybot and Adaware to remove any spyware, and try again.
