Out of Memory All the Time

When my brother's computer starts up, it gets an error being out of memory. This just recently started happening. We got rid of all the programs that start up, but the error is still there. I am going to try Adaware, Hijack This, and Spybot. If those don't work, what else should I try?

Go ahead with the programs you want to try but run them in safe mode with system restore switched off. What antivirus application are you using and should you need to do it, download the latest personal version of adaware.(version1.05). Don't forget to update adaware and your antivirus before doing the scans.

Hi, a little bit more information will help us help you.
How much memory do you have installed (RAM)?
What are your basic PC specs?
What Operating system are you using?

Scan with *both* adaware and spybot. Make sure the definitions are up to date.

Also if you are running XP check Microsoft Knowledge base for out of memory errors. There was a problem with XP when it first came out.
