sp2 upgrade and hdd space questions

i have a beta version of service pack 2 for windows xp professional and when i go to windows update it won't allow me to install the service pack 2 update. any reasons why this is? also, i formated my 200gb hdd drive into a 40gb and 160gb partitions. the 160gb partitions shows that i have used 70mb. anyone know what this 70mb was used for? im sure it won't infect my system but just curious cuz i cant find any files on the newly formatted drive. thanks.

Have you tried downloading the full SP2 network install? You may have to order the CD from Mickeysoft.

I believe the 70mb is the hidden system volume information.
