Memmaker in Win98
My win98 system resources are 80%, if I turn everything off I get 85%. Haven't been able to use my scanner for years.
When I type "mem" on the [run] line it shows all zeros for resident in upper memory even though it says on the bottom dos is resident in upper memory, I've got about 510k free memory. Would there be any advantage/disadvantage to dropping to dos and running Memmaker and perhaps enabling EMS memory? Thanks |

Memmaker only affects the DOS environment.
There is nothing wrong with 80%. What problems are you having with your scanner? |

Old Visioneer 3500 One Touch, I scan and get a black image, even their web site says I need 90% or better available resources to use it. If I ever do I'll dedicate a old machine just for that purpose.
So windows makes no use of the higher memory area and dos isn't either so it just goes to waste? BobP |

You sure the scanner lamp isn't burned out?
