Question XPSP2 error message

A Friend is receiving the following error message after installing SP2

Explorer.exe - Entry Point not Found

The procedure entry point SHCreateThreadRef could not be located
in the dynamic link library SHLWAPI.dll

The machine boots extremely slow. After 4-5 minutes the background screen appears and the machine appears to stop. However, the activity light for the hard drive blinks every few seconds, like it is still trying to load something. If I press ctrl+alt+delete I eventually get the task manager. It shows no apps running and the only process using CPUs is System Idle Process. The final problem is that this machine is used as a "server" in a three machine network. The other two machines can access this machine as if everything is AOK! They send print requests thru this machine and access programs on it, but we can't use it by itself. Please HELP

A lot of people are having this problem, and the only fix so far is uninstall SP2.
