Computer wont restart
Can anyone help me plz I've just cleaned out my computer and it was running ok ..I was installing all my software and when it had to reboot the power light came on and that's it.... but it stayed on and now I can't go any further my monitor wont even start up ..the last program I was installing was norton ststem works now I can't do anything helppppp..pleaseeeeeeee

change the hard drive. thats a good recomendation.

the hard drive is only a couple of months old ..could it not be somthing else that's causing the probs

Does the BIOS appear? When does the screen go blank? Have you tried running the mfr's diagnostics on it?

my monitor wont come on ...when I switch it on the only thing that happends is it starts to power up the power light comes on and stays on... it don't even flicker as if it's stuck.. and thats it nothing else no bios no monitor and when I checked all connections they are ok

Sorry not to be of more help but I had the same problem but I could boot up in safe mode and when I uninstalled Norton everything was fine

I can't get into do anything my monitor wont come on... going to try and take everthing out and start from the scratch..as glc's thread recommends
