Win2K using 100% CPU for no reason???

I downloaded some MS updates the other day and now my Win2K box takes forever to boot. When I go in safe mode, the Tas Manager shows 100% CPU utilization by the System service. Anyone know what could cause this?

Thanks!

Tripp

I have seen some spyware do this, try running Adaware and Spybot Search and Destroy scans.

What process specifically is taking up 100% or just simply a lot of resources?

WhatsThisBoxFor, I will give the SpyWAre removal a try.

Kram, the process I show using 100% is the "System" process.

Thanks!
