It is a *.WAB file and is usually located in:

C:\Documents and Settings\your-user-name-here\Application Data\Microsoft\Address Book

Hi TwoRails,

OK, since I posted my question, I have since got this pc working and now can export from File>Import/Export. Then I need to send the file to my daughter-in-law for her new pc I had built for her. Did everything but export/import her Contact List.
Thank you TwoRails.

Outlook or Outlook Express?

If it's OE, what TR says is correct. If it's Outlook, it's part of the single .pst file that's also all the mail, calendars, etc.

If it's OE, just send her the .wab file and she can import it into her OE. No need to export it.

Hi glc,

Yeah, she uses Outlook and I sent her the .pst file.
Now I have a Gateway E3400 to check out and fix. Lucky me!

with my history of outlook, all of the outlook "accounts" have one huge .pst file: address book, calendar, old emails, the whole 9 yards. Be careful that when you send the address book that you don't send everything else with it.

comquter,

The file was 284mb for everything. Got it taken care of.

TwoRails,

You didn't steer me wrong. I should have stated MS Outlook in Office.

Thanks to everybody.

OK, I have a BACKUP.pst file with everything and it is 284mb. The rec'd and sent emails are very important I believe.
Anyway, I burned the file to a cd. Can I import that complete file to Outlook?
Thanks,
Carl

Yes, if you copy it to the hard drive first and remove the read-only attribute.
