I was "tweaking" xp by disableing un-necessery services but now when i go onto Task Manager i cant see what process are being run by the user or by the system. How do i get it to show the User name again?

By any chance when you were turning off services did you turn off Terminal Services. If you did this is the reason why you don't see User Name in the Task Manager and you no longer can use Switch User. Go back in Services and change the startup to manual. Reboot and go back in Task Manager and see what happens. If this doesn't help hope someone else can help. Let us know what happens.
