pics gone

Thought id try zone alarm pro for a bit instead of nfp, and since ive installed it , certain web pages wont display properly!! on some i get the little red x,s and then on others , nothing at all ! anyone any ideas ??

What version of zone alarm? I suggest 4.5, if you're not running it already.

This works sometimes...

As an experiment set the ZoneAlarm firewall to low.
Then hunt up and enable active-X.
There's probably a setting somewhere ( I never used the pro version so I'm not sure where ) that will make this possible so open up you security panel and check out the settings.
While you're at it check out the IE/Mozilla security control to see if you have allow active-X enabled and if there security setting is at medium also.
If this gets your pictures back leave active-X enabled when you reset the firewall to it's default medium level.

definately a problem with zone alarm . simple test , turn it off , all web pages ok !! turn it on , certain pages like ebay , and cnet , wont display pics.

One more experiment.
On a CNET page, if you right click on the blank where the image should be, do you get a list with a check mark next to Block images ?
