Boom Windows XP CD Can`t find Hard drive?

Hey guys,

I`ve been trying to fix a problem with my registry. In order to fix it I need to acces the windows Repair Center on the Windows XP CD.

Now the problem is that once i`ve booted from the cd, whatever option I choose I get an error that it can`t find my hard drive... I`m sure I DO have a hard drive . I`m like totaly clueless right now... any help would be aprreciated.

Thanks,

Paul

Insufficient information to provide any meaningful assistance.

What brand/model system?

Do you know any of the specifications of the internal parts?

Do you have a serial ATA harddrive, or is the drive hooked to a controller card such as a serial ATA controller card or SCSI card? If so, you'll need the driver disk. When XP is loading, at the bottom is says "Press f6 to load drivers..." You'll need to press F6 and insert the driver disk.
