MS Service pack 2 problem
Hi all,
I having a problem downloading the MS service pack 2. I had this problem a couple of months ago when it came out but just ignored the upgrade until now. Tried again and it still does the same thing after download. The problem is after download and I restart, a window pops up with the features. When I close that window I get nothing on my PC but just the screensaver, no icons, no start up menu, nothing... I end up doing a CTRL+ALT+DEL and searching for my system restore and restoring it to an earlier date to get it back to the way it was. This happen 3 times and not sure what to do from here except just keep ignoring the upgrade but at the same time I won't be able to get any upgrades if I keep ignoring it I am using 2000xp home editions, if you need anymore information let me know. Thanks in advance if anyone can help me. |

Chas, got to be XP I would think seeing as the problem appears to be with SP2. Yes there was an SP2 for Win2k too, but its very unlikely he's talking about that seeing as it wasn't even the last 2k SP. JTH
