Keyboard Bug!

Windows boots up normally and I don't have any problems until a press certain keys on mu keyboard. For example if I press the letter "L" windows signs off or if a press other letters either the window closes or a different windows opens up. I't's driving me crazy cuz I cannot do anything to fix it.

I try to fix it from "Accessibility Options" but I do not see eanything wrong w/ the settings and is not the keyboard i try a different one.

Can any one help me !

it sounds like your windows key is stuck, because when you hit the windows + L it logs you off. that is what i would look at first

You mentioned you tried a different keyboard = was it of the same type? [same connector type - PS/2, USB, wireless, etc]. What type of keyboard?

If you boot into Safe Mode, does the problem disappear? If yes, try a full system scan for viruses and spyware while in Safe Mode. Then check to make sure your Language settings in Control Panel match your intended settings. And then remove all keyboards listed from Device Manager and reboot. Let Windows redetect and reinstall the keyboard.

And be careful! Never hot-swap a PS/2 keyboard, or you can damage your motherboard. Always remove or replace while the power is off.

I recall having this problem myself before. I think your issue could very well be virus related. Pop over to:

...and get a free virus scan to see if anything turns up.
