Please describe "previous settings."

Are you refering to hardware settings? Settings in Windows? Settings in a paticular program?

it doens't save my hardware settings or my windows settings. In the case of the hardware settings, I changed the boot sequence of my harddrives but it keeps reverting back to the old sequence. In the case of the windows settings, I use stylexp to make my desktop look more interesting and everytime restart or shutdown it would act liek i never applied to theme to it at all. What could be the problem here? Thanks for your time.

The problem with the boot sequence is probably you mohterboard. The reason it's not saving your settings is probably becasue the battery is dead.

I would think the boot sequence in the bios would be a separate problem from the settings in Windows. Try replacing the mobo battery (cmos battery) with a new one and see if the bios changes stick. As for the theme changes, is this a new problem or has this been a problem since you began using stylexp?
