Restoring your Outlook DBX messages in XP?

I had been using Outlook Express 6 on Windows ME and saved my inbox.dbx file so as to be able to reload my messages in XP. However, XP appears to save messages differently. I've moved the inbox.dbx file to the folder it had been in under ME (I've done this transfer before when I had to reload ME by the way, but never to XP), but it didn't read any of the new messages. Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance!

Have you tried importing it rather than moving the dbx file? Keep the dbx file in a folder (like the desktop), start OE, and then go to File > Import > Messages > Microsoft Outlook 6 > Import Mail from an OE6 store directory, then use the browse button to locate the dbx file from the desktop.

Statica I have tried that but it says "no messages found" at the location I guide it to. Any other ideas?
