XP Pro Boot Problem
When booting Windows XP everything is going fine, the Welcome banner come up and just before it shows the desktop... it goes to a blue background... no desktop... I wait, I wait... and nothing just a blue screen. I then do a ctrl, Alt, Delete and the task manager pops up and I hit cancel and the desktop pops up.
This sequence of events has happened approx. 4 times now. Does anyone know what it could be? Thanks Steve |

something is starting w/ the comp that shouldn't be. try starting in safe mode and msconfig to see what is starting. disable anything suspicious. also, run ad-aware and spybot. the same thing happened to me awhile ago

I spent some time running all kinds of ad ware and it seems to be fixed. I also took someones advice and loaded Mizilla Foxfire too. I will give it a try.
