CRASH computer keeps freezing up

I've just cleaned out my compter it is a new build... and was freezing up so I thought I would reinstall windows XP PROFESSIONAL but when windows is loading it freezes up on me and I get a blue screen with this report:

Windows could not start because of an error in the software.
Please report this as:
load needed DLLs for kernel.
Please contact your support person to report this problem.

End error.

can anyone help me plzzzzzz..

AMD Athlon XP 2200+
1.8 GHz
256 Ram

Try another IDE cable on the hard drive first.

If that doesn't work, what brand of RAM are you using? Could be a RAM problem.

Have you tried a different optical drive yet?

Did you check to see if the WinXP Pro CD is scratched?

Also, what are the complete specs of this computer?

And have you double checked that everything is connected up securely and the settings in the BIOS are correct for the components in your computer...especially the RAM timings?

I have tried new cable tried new ram
AMD ATHLON 2200+
256 RAM
80GHz HDD

when I put the disc in it starts to load windows ..I delete the partition and let it format ..to NTFS but it stops at 21% just freezes ...I just got this message when I tried it again :

Blue Screen



Probem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent any damage to your computer.



IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUL



If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen restart your computer if appers again follow these steps



check to make sure that any new hardware/software is properly installed if this is a new installation ask your hardware /software manufacturer for windows updates you mite need



if problem continues disable or remove anynewly installed hardware/software disable Bios memory such as caching or shadowing



I've never had anything like this before ..and don't understand it

I used windows 98se boot disc and fdisk..then formated the drive ..and installed windows 98se ..then booted from my cd-rom and intalled XP PROFESSIONAL .and not had any probs since hopfully it stays that way ..thanx guys for all your help ..
