I don't know why but I can't get to WinMe Services. Maybe something got miss configured.
I tried to use the run program using start. I typed "services". It gave me a box asking what program I wanted to use to open it. Does any one know how to fix this problem by pass it or another way to get into winme services? Or does any one know of a program I can download for WinMe that can access services? If extra discriptions needed and or more data feel free to ask. Any help appreciated as always.

I do not think Win Me has serivces, it is all in msconfig. Services are for 2K and XP (and I'm guessing 2K3 as well).

As far as I know, WinME does not work that way. Services are found in Win-NT/2K/XP. What exactly are you trying to do?? Try run msconfig, and I'll bet you'll find what you are searching for in there..

You were right. That was the program I was looking for.
![]() I was tring to install the TCP (Protocal thing I think) thing agan becuse I miss uninstalled it. I thought the services might help me to reinstall it. Every time I tried to reinstall it the proper way the computer asks me to restart. I do so but then it dosn't say its on it. Its as if nothing happend.

Are you trying to install a network adapter - and this is why you wish to check that TCP/IP is installed?
If so, the TCP/IP settings you're looking for would be accessible through the "Network" applet in the Control Panel. If your adapter is already installed, you can check the settings for that in that Control Panel applet [all the installed components show there: Client for Microsoft Networks, TCP/IP, NetBios, etc] . . . Yes that would be installed by right clicking Network Neighborhood>properties and you are right in that you want to install a protocol.

Well I'm tiring to install my PDA's ActiveSynch Program. It tells me I need TCP/IP install in network. I tried reinstalling it again in Network Neighborhood>properties but again to no avail. The progress bar completes then it tells me I need to restart. I do and double check Network Neighborhood>properties and it isn't there.
Naturally I'm kicking my self that I ever uninstalled TCP/IP in the first.

Why don't you just use System Restore to restore the computer back to a date before you uninstalled TCP/IP?

Success, System restore did the trick for that TCP/IP thing. And I managed to install active synch like a charm. Plus it fixed a handful of other problems. Thanks.
