Used computer with XP
I've been thinking about buying a computer running Windows XP. Will I be able to get OS updates for this machine? Will I have other problems because I'm not the original purchaser of the OS?

As long as it's a legal install and you get the cd key too, it won't matter. But make sure it IS a legal version first.

Make sure it is an actual XP CD and not a burned copy.

Yes if you get all the documents including of course the install disk and the install key decal Will I have other problems because I'm not the original purchaser of the OS? - The EULA does allow transfer of 'complete' ownership, IE if the OS is an OEM you need everything that came with the original PC, the restore disk, the key decal and the PC too. If it is a retail OS then the original disk and the key decal.
