WinXP Pro - New Msg Notificaiton on User Login
Hi Folks,
Does anyone know how to get rid of the "... unread mail messages" notification on the Windows XP Pro login page (image attached)? It's not causing any trouble except that I find it a little annoying when someone visits and logs in under the guest account, leaving me stuck with this message on my login screen. Note that if you are logged in as Guest, you may need to run regedit as administrator (Run As) or if you are running as a user with Admin priveleges, you will need to go to the hivekey corresponding with the user. (it will not be HKEY_CURRENT_USER ) it should be: under something like: HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-2025429265-1411110922-682003330-1005\ |

or u can download the power toys in microsoft and just disable it http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...powertoys.mspx just click on tweakui on the right, no registry hack needed
