New, mail msg in Outlook goes off
Howdy all
when i press New, mail message in outlook it looks for Word email program. (I think someone's been playing about with this) so where do i disable this? Also, when i first open Microsoft Outllok (2003) it brings up a message about macros??? Gives me choices including disable macros which I click.....is this something to do with the New mail message going to Word? |

Thanks Bailey but in that area I see a check box to "edit" emails in MS Word, or another check to "read" RTF documents in Word....but nothing relating to diverting off the new mail message in outlook.

ok:
I only have office 2k, and it may be differant, but I will see what I can find. ok, when you click on new, which is to edit a new mail message in outlook. if as I said before, the box is checked to edit mail with MSword, it will open in word to create the message, if the box is not checked it will open with the normal outlook form. and if you have that box checked and do not have word installed, it will look for it, I tried this on mine and it does as you discribed, and works good. but then I have the full office sweet installed, where maybe you do not. Yes your are right. I've been looking at this intently and if i turn off macros in word i can lose that error (macro) message as well. Outlook is unable to send mail and i thought the macro and the Word things were part of the problem. Now I guess I'll look at a bad user profile and create a new one. Thanks!
