When i start my comp. and it goes into windows 98SE it always freezes just before all the programs are loaded in the sys tray. when i use CRTL-ALT-DEL to bring up the task manager i always get Msgsvr32.dll is not responding. Any body know what this is and how i can get it to stop hanging on boot-up with out reinstalling Windows?
Thanks in advance, Chuck. |

yeah thats the one, sorry, i misspelled it. havent had enough coffee yet today.
Thanks for the link, gonna read it over and see if it can help me figure this one out. ok i looked it over, i have a Lexmark X73 printer scanner combo hooked up to my computer. the software for it boots with the computer, and i usually dont hve the thing turned on when i start the computer. I wonder if that is causing the problem? guess ill have to find out. Thanks again. Last edited by Chevelle502; 11-16-2004 at 11:53 AM. |

. . . and yet another link, in case you are using a Palm Pilot cradle: http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;306616
[a quick way to test if that's the problem is to start the machine with the Palm cradle disconnected & see if the error doesn't occur] |
