Question Strange windows DLL hang on start-up

When i start my comp. and it goes into windows 98SE it always freezes just before all the programs are loaded in the sys tray. when i use CRTL-ALT-DEL to bring up the task manager i always get Msgsvr32.dll is not responding. Any body know what this is and how i can get it to stop hanging on boot-up with out reinstalling Windows?

Thanks in advance,

Chuck.

. . . and yet another link, in case you are using a Palm Pilot cradle: http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;306616

[a quick way to test if that's the problem is to start the machine with the Palm cradle disconnected & see if the error doesn't occur]
