How To Edit Boot.ini In Window Xp Pro

Previous I Have Install Both Window Xp Pro English And Window Xp Pro Chinese. Since After, I Uninstall Window Xp Pro Chinese. But The Boot Menu Still Show Up. How Would I Be Able To Edit Boot.ini

editing boot.ini

Go into control panel/performance and maintenance/system .. click on the advanced tab, then click the "startup and recovery" settings button.

If you then click the edit button you'll get a notepad displaying the boot.ini and allowing you to edit it.


For single boot it would be of the form (assuming your O/S is on the first partition of the master drive)

[boot loader]
timeout=8
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect

You multi-boot configuration will have a second line under operating systems.
