Registry Editor
Hello
Iam using windows98. Recently I have seen something new going on in my computer system, when I boot up my computer , the Registry Editor window pops up on the desktop. I have checked the system configuration utility and their I dont find anything related to Registry Editor. Does anyone know why the window of Registry Editor is popping up on the desktop when I boot my computer? Regards, |

Read the sticky thread in the Security forum about HijackThis logs, do the virus and spyware scans, then post a log if it's still happening.

Yes, the most likely reason is there is some spyware that is causing it to open at startup.

Yes you are right, just few minutes back, I scanned my computer ,and the spyware killer detected several infected files, but I cannot remove those infected files unless and until I purchase that software by registering myself to it.
Can anyone tell me from where I could download a free Anti-Spyware software? Regards, Last edited by ITlover; 11-18-2004 at 11:26 AM. Reason: to correct some mistakes |
