I've used 'broadbandreports.com' for along while to test my ISP & computer performance for download speed, etc.
I can no longer use this service, because it says I don't have the right JAVA on my computer, etc. I'm not sure, but believe the change has happened after the 'ServicePack 2' patch. I'm told by the 'broadbandreports' site, that I might now need to install a JAVA applet on my system. Great--Fine--doing this at the JAVA site, is amazingly a dizzying array of 'crap' and download options--I finally gave up on trying to install it, which itself was not sucessfull. I thought I had JAVA already going on my system-- and yes, its allowed in my Windows options. Somebody tell me how to get this working again?? Thanks if you have anything to offer...* Whats wrong with my 'Java'??? Bruce Dell 8200 Win XP Home SVS PK2 |
