how do you make a computer on a network "remote"? (or to phrase better, How do you make a remote computer on a network?)

If it's an XP machine you click on Help and search for "remote desktop sharing."

this still doesn't tell me how to get a remote desktop.
most of the articles there talked about NetMeeting. What is that? |
