XP Crashes during start up
Out of the blue, something has happened to my windows xp. when i start up my pc, it goes through the usual bios setup stuff and then the windows loading screen comes up, then before it gets to the login screen, the computer just restarts itself! i havent done anything, it just seems to have happened out of nowhere. please help!!!!

Have you tried booting to safe mode? (During startup AS SOON AS YOUR BIOS SCREEN IS GONE Press F8 .. you may need to do it quickly or repeatedly press F8, start Windows in Safe Mode)When you get to safe mode, turn off auto-restart on crash (go to Control Panel > System > Advanced tab > Start up and Recovery Settings > and Uncheck automatically restart on system failure.
You may also want to try using system restore to turn back your computer to an earlier time, especially if you suspect making some changes to your XP recently. |
