Cant Get Rid of Default User

During Win2000 installation, I specified a user as the startup user. After I fully set up the computer, i created the real user and deleted the startup user name. BUt at every reboot Win2000 is still trying to log on to the default user name even though it has been removed. How can I get rid of this and set up another user as the default user?

Go to START > CONTROL PANEL > Users and Passwords > Is the check beside Users must enter a username and password on? If not turn it on.
If it still doesnt work .. open up regedit and go to :
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
You should see DefaultUserName and DefaultDomainName along with DefaultPassword .. just delete the DefaultPassword key. It should turn off autlogon. If you want to do some housekeeping, You can also change the DefaultUserName to a user that is now on your system .. note that if you remove defaultpassword, it will not autologon.
