Curropted HD
Everytime I started windows it told me my hard drive was curropted and windows had to scan for consistancy. I figure my hard drive was going but it didn't seem to stop working just always wanted to check it. I decided to get a small drive to just boot from. I got a 10 gig hard drive and put XP on it. Now XP wants to scan both of the drives for consistiancy. Why does it do this? And is there any way to make it stop.

Are you letting it complete the scan?? It should fix the problem if U let it run the scan and if U R and it isn't than I would do a repair installation with the XP CD.
