Lost Product Code
I am about ot slide a new hard drive in on my self built system. Fresh install of windows xp with the same copy i used on the HD I run now, Problem: i lost the product code. Can i get the product code somewhere iwhtin the depths of my install? I needa put this drive in or i'm gunna go nuts.
Its a WD, and in the Datalifegaurd utility there is a "hard drive" swap option. Can i just swap the OS and EVERYTHING over to my new 120giger without reinstalling windows? |

I beleive you can get a new one by calling Microsoft. I'm not positive if it is free or not.

The Data life guard lets me copy the whole C drive :-/. Anybody think i can format and partition the new drive and just swap EVERYTHING over to the new one and unplug the old one?

You should be able to just mirror your drive.

Download this free tool from Belarc.
