Is it possible to easily back up the Win Xp OS to a second harddrive?

Yup. You can easily make a backup copy of your system and everything that you have on it using a ghosting utility, one that springs to mind is Norton Ghost. It's like what we do at school. When we set up a new computer and want to make it a school terminal as part of our school network, then we use a floppy diskette to ghost the network along with the settings onto the computer's drive.
