Problems with Win 2000 Screensaver and power shemes

Did a fresh install on a new hd using win 2000 pro. The problem I'm having is my screensaver won't activate when set. The power saving settings won't work either ie... shut off monitor, shut off harddrive...

Is there a fix for this some where? Thanks

Give it some time.

DId it work before you reformatted? Did you download all the updates?

How long did it set it for before the screensaver activates?

How not sure if this will help, but check if ACPI is set to on in the BIOS.

Did a repair install and everything works great now. Must have been a crapy one. Thanks for the help.
