windows xp hangs on startup please help.
All of a sudden windows xp hangs up when I first start it up after being off overnight. After rebooting it a few times it will start normally and run fine. Until I shut it off for the night. The next day same thing. What is going on? I have reformatted and clean install win xp but it still does the same thing as soon as it sits over night for the first boot. Please Help.
Thanks. Last edited by Scyco32; 12-01-2004 at 11:40 PM. |

There are a few things that can cause this. Often, disabling certain uneeded windows "services" can help. Please take a look at some of the in house tweaking articles:
This one is a great one: http://www.pcmech.com/show/optimize/677/ and this one speaks directly to your issue: http://www.pcmech.com/show/optimize/164/ Just be careful and make sure to follow the instructions and safety precautions. |
